The moment that I have always been waiting for has arrived..My esteemed collegue Danny Harf has stuck his 2nd 1080, but this time on film..thats right super 16mm film. Now starts the nervous waiting game. Were my exposures right? Was it in focus? All things that seem to not worry me any other time, but now I question..Danny in on fire..moments before he hit that, he stuck a huge hs 9 off the double up that was so clean. We picked up Vandall at the airport last nite and Rusty is back from a trip. The only thing I can say is that this week should be ALL TIME!! Oh ya, Spence Smith sequenced the 1080 and it is money.. Thanks for keeping up with us. I promise we will start having more current posts and pics…we have been having a ton of great stuff happening lately. Lots of stunts and and rails. All the boys are riding very well. The footage is the best I have ever shot. Look for the new Alliance and see our trip to Eastern Washington with Randall, Benny G, and Jeff Mckee. So amazing..i have been waiting for this story to drop for a long time…Next month we will be having a ton of stuff in the new WBM out in March..Thanks again and check back.. What an amazing week we had. We just built a super tech gap at Rusty’s house that turned out awesome. All the boys hit and sessioned it hard. This rail was definitely one for the books. We shot it with a very unique look and it will for sure be some of the best footage ever in a wake video. The players were Chad, Rusty, Danny, JD, and Ruck…amazing..!!!!!!! I just spent the last week staying down at Randall's house in Canyon lake. We were both participating in the shooting of a real Hollywood Movie Pilot. The Movie Titled "Ride The Wake", features Dallas Friday as the stunt double of the actress playing a wakeboard girl who takes on the So Cal champ, and wins. Randall and Ricky G also participated as riders and stunts. I was able to shoot and be titled as the "2nd Camera Unit", which was cool. I shot Super 16mm which will used in the movie for montage stuff. I am stoked cuz I get most of the footage to use for Drive. Keep checking back for more on Drive! Since that time in late fall last year, the cast of riders and sponsors has grown to an variatable empire. Having Rusty, Randall, Danny, Chad, BennyG, Jeff MCKee, Jimmy lariche, Adam Errington, Trevor Hansen, Gabe Lucas, Erik Ruck, and JD brings this level to a throwdown match!! We started filming in AZ in last spring with Steve Hahn at the photo helm. He put together houseboats and the plan and I got myself, Ben Davis (my not so skinny 2nd cameraman), Vandall, JD, Rusty, and Danny out to AZ for a week of fun and shreddin. Check out the photo gallery of that trip at www.wakeboardnorthwest.com and at www.wakeworld.com Anyhoo, oh yeah, we then did a trip to Eastern Washington State with Benny G, Vandall, and Jeff Mckee to the glassiest place on the planet. That trip hands down was the sickest trip of footage gettin in my time. The few clips you saw of BennyG, Vandall, and Jeff in the teaser was the place!!! The very next week I traveled to Lake Shasta and got to do some Heli stuff with Rusty, JD, Ruck, and Jimmy. How much fun is Lake Shasta. All the classic videos had trips like this one and once your are houseboating, it all blends perfectly. After Shasta, I took a trip to Rusty's in Humbolt, SK, Canada. That was a super fun trip to head to Canada and meet all the Malinoski Family. What an amazing group of people. By the way, Rusty's brother Robbie is a world class freestyle snowcross racer. Check any sports channel and you most likely see a race that he dominates..crazy..oh yeah, not much riding due to weather but we did jump a car over a pile of rocks covered in grass..how convenient for Rusty's buddy Lynden..Check out the footage of that soon to come on Drivethevideo.com. Lastly but certainly not Lastly, was our trip to Lake Bartlett last week with Trevor, Vandall, Gabe, and Chad. Cant wait to get my footage developed..so sick!!! keep up with Steve Hahn for the photos..Devon and Sean hooked us up with a Malibu which was fantastic. And Eric at Lake Bartlett hooked us up with Aqua lodges too..very nice...im off to Cali next to shoot with Vandall, then to Rusty's in Florida on the 15th..I will pretty much be in Florida for the next few months..Danny says hes got something super crazy up his sleeve and I cant wait to get with the rest of the boys and make Drive the best BFY Title ever...thanks for checking in..stay tuned..werd Sean Kilgus BFY |
